Due to planned strike action, Galway City Council offices, community centres, Galway City Museum, Town Hall Theatre and Liosbán Recycling Centre will be closed to the public on Wednesday, 14 October 2026.
A new exhibition at Galway City Museum, The Tribes in Hungary: Walter Lynch and Ferenc Martyn, explores two descendants of the Galway Tribes who left lasting legacies in Hungary.
Road Closures will be in place from 9.30am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday from Monday April 27 for approximately three weeks.
