Community Climate Action Programme

The Community Climate Action Programme aims to support small and large communities to take climate action. The overall objective of the programme is to empower communities to shape and build low carbon, sustainable communities and to contribute to national climate and energy targets.

Energy Efficiency, Deep Retrofit and Grants

Galway City Council has no plans to make an application to SEAI under the Deep Retrofit Programme. Persons interested in the scheme can contact one of the Energy Agencies in the country to see if they would include the property in any application that they may make.

Galway City Council Arts Office invites sound artists to submit proposals for a grant to make a site-responsive artwork for the Galway Climate Festival 2024.

We are offering the Sounds of Climate Change Grant to a creative practitioner working in sound, composition, sound and music, or multimedia to make an artwork for the festival.
