Under the Road Traffic (Construction and Use of Vehicles) Regulations 2003,you need a permit to move goods by road if the your cargo exceeds the limits stated in those regulations

In general Galway City Council is only permitted to remove vehicles from public property. The City Council will not enter private property to remove a vehicle, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

What rights do I have in relation to accessing information on the Environment?
You have the right to obtain certain environmental information from a public authority, such as a local authority.

This right to access Environmental information comes from Directive 2003/4/EC of the European Parliament, and the Access to Information on the Environment Regulations 2007 - 2011

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is the authority with responsibility for ambient air quality monitoring in Ireland. The Environmental Protection Agency measures the levels of a number of atmospheric pollutants. These allotments are plots of land leased to local community members to enable them to grow their own fruit and vegetables. They provide a great amenity to the city with many benefits provided to the plot-holders and their families, from fresh air to home grown produce.

The Amenity Grant Scheme funding is available to support Resident Associations, Community Gardens and Allotment Schemes wishing to undertake Environmental type community initiatives which contribute towards the betterment of their local Environment.

The Local Authority Home Loan (LAHL) is available for people who are unable to obtain sufficient funding from commercial banks to purchase or build a home.

The Arts Office manages and coordinates the investment of public money in the arts on behalf of Galway City Council, funding a wide range of activities across the city – theatre, visual art, readings, dance, music, film, street arts, circus, spectacle and more.
