School bands and community bands from all musical genres can apply. Support is for band development, work towards performance, and performances in Galway City.

The bursary is for Galway City-based creative practitioners to develop new work and to support creative and professional practices.

Pat Coleman Emerging Writer in Residence project
Áras Éanna Arts Centre, Inis Oírr and the Galway City Council Arts Office are delighted to announce the Pat Coleman Emerging Writer in Residence project that honours Pat, a great character and friend to the people of Galway.
The residency will be for three weeks in May 2025. The successful applicant will receive the following:

Return bus and ferry from Galway City to Inis Oírr

Self-catering accommodation for the duration of residency

€2,000 Stipend

Dedicated studio space at Áras Éanna Arts Centre

Mentoring workshops
To apply, artists will:

be available to take up the full residency in May 2025
