Doughiska Road South Cycle Network Scheme
The Doughiska Road South Cycle Network Scheme has delivered improved walking and cycling facilities, linking residential, retail, and recreational sites along the road which connects the Old Dublin Road with the Coast Road. Prior to construction, this route had little in the way of formal cycling infrastructure. The new scheme has delivered a safe and comfortable environment for those walking, wheeling, and cycling though the provision of segregated cycle lanes and footpaths, along with additional pedestrian crossings, tightened road junctions to reduce vehicular speed and continuous footways.
