Tree Trimming/Maintenance:
Tree trimming or hedge cutting is not usually permitted during the period from the 1st March to the 31st August, as set out in the Wildlife Acts.

Do Galway City Council cut grass in public areas?
All public parks and open spaces within housing estate, that have been taken in charge by Galway City Council, are maintained by the Recreation & Amenity section of Galway City Council.
Grass Cutting:
Grass Cutting usually commences in March, depending on the weather and grass growth.
All areas have grass cut on a rota basis of every 5-6 weeks.
Tree and Hedge Maintenance
