Labour Market Access Permission

A person seeking International Protection can apply for permission to work. This permit is called a Labour Market Access Permission. Many protection applicants refer to this simply as ‘work permit.’

After a minimum of 5 months, you can apply for a work permit. You can apply online using this link: Labour Market Access Permission Application 

Due to a high number of applicants, it can take 2 months or longer to receive your work permit.
