Galway City’s Café Culture Gets a Night-Time Boost: Six Businesses Awarded Café Lates Funding

Galway City Council announces that six local businesses have been awarded funding as part of the "Café Lates" pilot scheme. This initiative will see participating cafés staying open past 6pm, offering cultural events and activities alongside their usual fare.

"Café Lates" is a direct response to public consultation feedback, aiming to diversify Galway's nightlife, enhance a later Café Culture and stimulate the local economy during evening hours. It's part of Galway City’s broader commitment to enhancing its after-6pm offerings as one of nine pilot cities and towns nationwide actively shaping Ireland's night-time economy.

The cafés that have been awarded funding as part of the "Café Lates" pilot scheme are; Café sa Taibhdhearc, Little Collins Café, Wylde Café - at Hyde Hotel, Plámás, The Creamery Café and Gourmet Food Parlour.
