Mobility Aids Grant Scheme
The Mobility Aids Housing Grant is available to cover a basic suite of works to address mobility problems, primarily, but not exclusively, associated with ageing.
The works grant aided under the scheme include grab-rails, access ramps, level access showers, stair-lift/hoist (An Occupational Report must be submitted with your application for a stair lift), other minor works deemed necessary to facilitate the mobility needs of a member of a household.
An Occupational Therapist Report must be submitted with your application for works which include a mechanical device like a stair-lift/hoist. The Council may request an OT Report for other works if deemed necessary after inspection.
